2010 Early Years Education Ontario Network - Keynote
On April 16, 2010, the second annual EYEON symposium, entitled "Play-based Learning in the Early Years" took. place. Assistant Deputy Minister of the Early Learning Division (Ontario Ministry of Education), Jim Grieve gave the keynote address.
Before taking on the responsibilities of Assistant Deputy Minister of the Early Learning Division (Ontario Ministry of Education), Jim Grieve spent 37 years in education—both in teaching and leadership roles. Jim is a former Director of Education of the Peel District School Board and the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. Jim is deeply involved in developing the strongest supports possible for children and their families, and is a passionate champion of the early years. As the former president of the Canadian Association of School Administrators (CASA), Jim organized two national early years conferences. Jim is also the former co-chair of Success By 6 Peel, and is Vice-chair of the Council for Early Child Development.
