During the meeting, the board approved the hiring of a new attorney to represent the board. Dr. Ed Richardson, who is heading up the investigation on behalf of the Alabama State Department of Education, told the board that he would report the matter to Alabama State Superintendent Dr. Bice. Ms. Edwards shows Dr. Richardson a complete lack of respect by referring to Dr. Richardson as "that man....who interrupted our meeting". Time will tell what Dr. Richardson has in store for the Birmingham Board of Education.
